About us

Our core competence lies in the development and construction of customer-specific special solutions in block design. Based on a customer inquiry, an individual solution is developed and manufactured in-house by B&B Hydraulik-Technik. Specific advice and support for the customer, from the functional description and hydraulic system development to the finished product, plays a central role.

We are an official sales partner of Sun Hydraulics. The product range includes an extensive range of high-quality screw-in valves in 5 sizes, as well as associated housings, intermediate plates and integrated circuit. In addition, our customers benefit from our technical advice on the individual products in specific applications.

Our Philosophy

As a founder-managed company, we focus on fair, cooperative and long-term cooperation with our customers. Many customers from the early days are still supplied by us today. This goal can only be achieved through care, quality and continuity, without losing sight of new developments. What applies to our customers also applies to our suppliers. Here, too, we cultivate a fair, cooperative and long-term partnership.

We want to maintain our familiar character and our good working atmosphere. The long service of our employees is an indication that it has also been lived in the past. The training of young people is also very important to us. That is why we provide training and continuously offer internships for pupils and students. We have been committed to the Hattingen location since its foundation in 1992 and want to continue to investments here in the future.

B&B Company History

Innovation and know-how for over 30 years

2021

To increase our capacities, a new 4-axis machining center was put into operation. For the necessary space, an old, hardly needed, QuickTurn lathe was retired. Overall, the machine park now comprises seven CNC machining centers and one automatic lathe.

2020

At the turn of the year 2019 to 2020, Helmut Brocke left B&B Fluidsysteme and B&B Hydraulik-Technik. Helmuth Fack had already left B&B Fluidsysteme in 2002. The shares are now owned by the Bähr family, with the aim of continuing the companies in the family in the long term.

2014

To manufacture complicated turned parts, a turning center was purchased which, with driven tools, can also perform milling and drilling operations at any angle. Rear machining can also be carried out automatically by means of a transfer spindle. From the bar loader to the workpiece extraction, the process is fully automatic. Also in this year, a paternoster warehouse was erected. This significantly increased the storage capacities from a small area.

2011

After a long period of preparation, the ABAS ERP system was able to replace the outdated, old software. Here, in addition to the ERP system, all production processes were also integrated. A lot of information, in all processes, is now available and can be accessed.

2009

To produce the rising quantities of control blocks, the sixth CNC machining center was put into operation. This time, a machine with four axes was selected, which makes it possible to manufacture more complex parts with the highest precision in one operation.

2006

The 2D-CAD system was replaced by the 3D-CAD system “Solid Works”. Now, penetrations could be displayed, which considerably simplified the construction of the control blocks. The software includes simulation with which housings can be examined. It shows exceedances of the permissible tensile stresses on the material when pressure builds up.

2000

In order to purchase the third machining center, the existing hall had to be extended. For this purpose, an extension, in two-story height, was built, which used the entire rest of the property.
The office space was also expanded. In addition, social facilities were created for the growing number of employees.

1994

Purchase of the first CNC machining center at the sister company B&B Hydraulik-Technik, which from now on took over the production of control blocks. The ever-increasing number of control blocks and the desire for more flexibility and shorter delivery times made this step necessary.
In the following years, some special valves were also developed that were not available on the market in this form or quality.

1992

B&B Fluidsysteme GmbH was founded in February 1992. In addition to the shareholders of B&B Hydraulik-Technik Helmut Brocke and Henning Bähr, Mr. Helmuth Fack joined the newly founded company and took over the sales of products from Sun Hydraulics-USA, whose focus is on the valve production of screw-in valves. In addition to the sale of these products, the first customer-specific control blocks were developed. At first, production did not take place in-house.
